Update 3.4.1: New Import & Export Settings Feature & Hooks For Theme Developers

Do you have the WP Security Audit Log plugin installed on more than one website? We have good news for you! In this update we included a new plugin settings import/export feature to help you with setting up the plugin.

Today we are releasing WP Security Audit Log update 3.4.1. In this post we are highlighting what is new, improved and fixed in this update of the most comprehensive WordPress activity logs plugin.

Import & Export plugin configuration feature

Large businesses are always adding new websites to their web farm, especially WordPress agencies. Whenever they build a new website they also manually configure the WP Security Audit Log plugin.

However, that is no more! We developed a feature with which you can easily export and import the plugin settings. Now WordPress agencies and other businesses can easily deploy a standard plugin configuration to all the sites they add to their web farm with just a few mouse clicks.

New Hooks for theme developers

The plugin displays warning messages on the login page when you manage and limit users sessions and a user’s session is blocked. However, these messages do not show up on custom login pages.

In this version we have included some new hooks in the audit log plugin that your theme developer can use to display the plugin’s warnings on your custom login page.

  1. Little(or not) bug. When importing settings from another page, in the database in the table ‘wp_wsal_options’ -row ‘wsal-adapter-url-base-prefix’ a prefix is inserted from the page from which the imported settings file is coming from, and there should be a prefix of the current page to which we import settings. It can also be seen in the menu ‘DB / Archive / Mirror’ -> ‘Connections’ -> button ‘configure’ -> Database base prefix – selected use website url as table prefix ‘grayed out field and prefix’.
